While Vietnam and China have communist governments, the last 20 years have brought radical changes in national economic policy. Both China and Vietnam have recognized that the way forward for their economy must be built on taking advantage of their natural advantages - the work ethic of their people and a centuries-long tradition of business and entrepreneurship. The governments are fully supportive of business oriented growth economies in general and specifically of the technology sector. As WTO members, Vietnam and China have provided greater access to their fast-growing markets and have enhanced transparency in government processes and increased economic freedoms.
